Company Policies

Effective 1/1/26

If you will not be home or at the office during your scheduled cleaning, Betty’s must be provided with a key, or a key must be left in a location where our staff can easily access it. If our team arrives to perform the cleaning and is unable to access the property due to no key or access, this will be considered a lock-out.

Lock-outs or same-day cancellations will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a 50% charge of the scheduled service will apply.

Spring cleanings, move-in/move-out cleanings, and post-construction cleanings require a 48-hour cancellation notice. Cancellations made outside of this notice period may be subject to a 50% service charge.

Missed cleanings that are not rescheduled may result in a higher rate for the next scheduled visit due to the additional time and work required.

For permanent cancellation of cleaning services, Betty’s requests that clients provide two (2) weeks’ notice.

Payment Policy
Full payment is required upon completion of each cleaning service or by the due date listed on the invoice. A $7.00 finance charge will be applied to past-due balances. Outstanding balances must be paid, or payment arrangements must be made prior to the next scheduled cleaning, or we will be unable to provide future services. Returned checks are subject to a $35.00 reprocessing fee.
We accept payment by cash, check, or PayPal.

Damage & Liability
Our staff takes great care while cleaning. If an item is accidentally damaged, a note will be left and we will contact you to determine the value of the item. Compensation will be provided through replacement or reimbursement. Any damage believed to be caused by our service must be reported to Betty’s within 24 hours of the cleaning. We ask that irreplaceable, collectible, or high-value items be secured or put away to help prevent accidents.

We are not responsible for damage due to normal wear and tear, faulty installation, or pre-existing conditions.

Service Quality Guarantee
We guarantee consistent, high-quality cleaning services. Our cleaning technicians are reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy. We typically work in teams of two or three professionally trained cleaners, led by a team leader who supervises all tasks and ensures quality workmanship. We inspect our work before leaving your home. If you find our service unsatisfactory, please notify us within 24 hours, and we will return the next business day to address the issue. Refunds are not offered, but we are happy to correct any mistakes. Requests received after 24 hours will be addressed at the next scheduled cleaning.

Additional Policies
  • Betty’s House Cleaning provides all standard cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
  • For the safety of our staff, all pets must be secured during the cleaning service.
  • In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, services may be rescheduled to ensure staff safety.
  • Please note: Due to cancellations or lock-outs, scheduled cleaning times may sometimes need to be adjusted. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding, as small changes help us accommodate all of our clients efficiently.
